Moroccan press syndicate condemns denial of entry to Ceuta for 2M journalists

The National Syndicate of Moroccan Press has strongly condemned the decision by Spanish authorities in Ceuta to prevent a journalistic team from the Moroccan channel 2M (Douziem) from entering the city to perform professional duties.

The Syndicate described the move as a blatant restriction on press freedom and an unacceptable attack on the right of journalists to access information. They announced plans to take international action by contacting the International Federation of Journalists, the African Journalists Union, and the Arab Journalists Union to advocate for the rights of Moroccan journalists.

Media personality Rehab Hanan also criticized the incident, accusing Spain of "double standards" regarding press freedom. She questioned the legal basis for preventing Moroccan journalists from covering events while other media outlets are permitted to film and move freely, stating that "press freedom cannot be tailor-made."
