Moroccan RNI Party says government will complete its term without election pressure
The political bureau of Morocco’s National Rally of Independents (RNI) met on 27 July 2026, chaired by party leader Mohamed Chouki. The bureau reaffirmed that the current cabinet, led by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, will continue performing its duties until the end of its mandate, free from any electoral calculations. It praised the government’s structural reforms across sectors and warned against attempts to divert public debate with misleading information.
The RNI highlighted recent legislative initiatives approved by the government: a decree setting the pricing rules for locally produced and imported medicines, a law to integrate the national health‑information system, and an amendment to the decree implementing the direct social support scheme aimed at helping families transition to employment.
