Moroccan security forces conduct major drug and theft crackdowns
Law enforcement agencies in Morocco have conducted several successful operations targeting drug trafficking, theft, and smuggling.
In Marrakech, the Bab Doukkala judicial police center launched a major campaign resulting in the seizure of over half a ton of illicit drugs and several tons of smuggled alcohol. The operation led to the arrest of multiple suspects, including individuals with existing national warrants. In the Taseltant area, the gendarmerie arrested two individuals in Zmran for possessing 200 pills and 100 liters of illicit alcohol. Additionally, police in Taseltant resolved a theft at the Sharifia Schools, resulting in the arrest of four suspects involved in stealing computers and educational equipment.
In the El Jadida province, the Royal Gendarmerie discovered a clandestine underground warehouse in Oulad Hamdane. Authorities seized 350 kilograms of kif and 76 kilograms of contraband tobacco. The primary suspect in the El Jadida operation fled the scene and is currently the subject of a national search.
