Patrick Bruel hit by new rape complaint from Flavie Flament amid multiple sexual‑assault allegations

On 15 May 2026 French TV presenter Flavie Flament announced on Instagram that she had filed a rape complaint against singer‑actor Patrick Bruel, accusing him of raping her in 1991 when she was 16 and he was 32. She wrote, “Un homme qui a pillé mon adolescence,” and said she wants “the truth to come out, justice to be served, and the eyes that look away to stop.”

Bruel’s lawyers denied the allegations, stating that he “never drugged Flavie Flament and never imposed any sexual act.” They described their relationship in the 1990s as “episodic” and “always friendly.” The singer is already the subject of several investigations in France (Paris and Saint‑Malo) and Belgium concerning alleged assaults ranging from a 1997 incident in Mexico to a 2012 alleged rape in Dinard.

Two further complaints were filed on 13 May 2026: one alleging sexual aggression in 2019 in Perpignan and another alleging attempted rape in 2010 in Neuilly‑sur‑Seine. Media reports say the total number of women who have accused Bruel now approaches thirty, prompting petitions to cancel his upcoming concerts in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Canada. Bruel maintains his presumption of innocence while the judicial inquiries continue.
