Guinea strengthens diplomatic ties with Sierra Leone and Morocco

Guinea is actively strengthening its diplomatic and economic ties with regional and international partners. In Conakry, Sierra Leonean Vice-President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh met with Guinean Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah to discuss border security, migration, and regional stability. The two nations are working to facilitate economic mobility through the potential introduction of consular and merchant cards.

Simultaneously, Guinea is deepening its strategic partnership with Morocco. During the 8th session of the Guinean-Moroccan Joint Cooperation Commission, officials signed 25 cooperation agreements covering sectors such as finance, transport, agriculture, energy, and health. A key focus of this partnership is supporting Guinea’s ‘Simandou 2040’ program to accelerate economic transformation. Additionally, Guinea has reaffirmed its support for Moroccan sovereignty regarding the Sahara.

In separate diplomatic engagements, Guinean President Mamadi Doumbouya also received delegations from the United States to discuss bilateral relations and international partnerships.
