Morocco and Lebanon sign judicial cooperation agreement

The Court of Cassation of Morocco and the Lebanese Court of Cassation signed a memorandum of understanding in Rabat to establish an institutional partnership and enhance judicial and administrative cooperation. The agreement was signed by Mohammed Abdennabaoui, First President of the Moroccan Court of Cassation, and Souheil Abboud, First President of the Lebanese Court of Cassation.

The partnership aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise, best practices, judicial decisions, and legislative research. Key areas of cooperation include civil and criminal law, human rights training, anti-corruption efforts, and the tracking of cross-border financial and electronic crimes.

Additionally, the memorandum emphasizes digital transformation through electronic archiving and case management. To ensure the implementation of the agreement, a joint follow-up committee will be established to prepare annual work plans and organize specialized training workshops and judicial seminars.
