Morocco celebrates Prophet's Birthday with royal and Sufi leaders

King Mohammed VI, acting in his capacity as Commander of the Faithful, presided over ceremonies in Rabat to commemorate the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi). The event brought together prominent Sufi leaders and scholars to reinforce Morocco's religious traditions and spiritual identity.

Notable attendees included high-ranking sheikhs from traditional Moroccan Sufi orders, such as Moulay Ali Raisouni of the Raisouni Zawiya and Moulay El Ghali El Harrak of the Harrakiya Zawiya. These gatherings serve to uphold the country's religious constants and promote a moderate approach to Islam through historical spiritual lineages.
