Morocco ONSSA says Aïd Al-Adha 2026 sanitary conditions satisfactory

The National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA) reported that the Aïd Al‑Adha celebrations in 2026 were carried out under satisfactory sanitary conditions across Morocco.

During the holiday, ONSSA deployed about 500 veterinarians and technicians, examined more than 3,750 animal carcasses and conducted roughly 350 home visits to advise households on meat safety. The agency also responded to over 2,000 phone and social‑media inquiries and continued inspections at authorized slaughterhouses and butcheries to ensure compliance with health standards.
