Morocco outlines 2027 Finance Bill priorities

King Mohammed VI presided over a Council of Ministers to adopt the general guidelines for Morocco’s 2027 Finance Bill. Presented by the Minister of Economy, Finance, and Public Performance, the bill outlines five strategic priorities designed to navigate a volatile international landscape marked by geostrategic tensions and protectionism.

The primary objectives include restoring household purchasing power and strengthening the social state through structural market and price reforms starting in 2027, expanding medical coverage, and increasing direct social assistance. Another major pillar focuses on integrating youth into the workforce via a national program spanning 2027–2031, which links education, training, and employment.

Additionally, the government aims to accelerate advanced regionalization and integrated territorial development, with approximately 25 billion dirhams allocated to these programs. The bill also prioritizes strategic sovereignty in water, energy, food, and digital sectors.

Economic forecasts accompanying the bill project a national growth rate of 4.7% by the end of the current year, with inflation expected to remain at 0.7% and the budget deficit targeted to decrease to 3% of GDP.
