Morocco promotes local terroir products at Abu Dhabi Global Food Week
Morocco is showcasing over 100 local terroir products at the Global Food Week in Abu Dhabi, held from October 6 to 8 at the ADNEC exhibition center. Organized by the Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, the initiative aims to promote Moroccan products and strengthen their presence in international markets, particularly in the Middle East.
The Moroccan pavilion features 25 groups from various regions of the Kingdom, representing more than 770 small-scale farmers. Notably, rural women make up approximately 42% of these beneficiaries. The participating exhibitors are engaging in professional B2B meetings and the Hosted Buyers program to identify new commercial opportunities and consolidate the positioning of the Moroccan offer.
This participation is part of the ‘Generation Green 2020-2030’ strategy, which focuses on enhancing the competitiveness and value of local products. The ADA is also working to professionalize cooperatives, promote the ‘Terroir du Maroc’ collective label, and diversify marketing channels, including digital platforms.
