Morocco reports 3.5 million arrivals for Operation Marhaba 2026
As part of Operation Marhaba 2026, approximately 3.5 million Moroccans residing abroad have arrived in Morocco since the operation began on June 10. This represents a 1.1% increase compared to the previous year. Data as of August 21 indicates that 51.31% of arrivals utilized maritime routes, while 48.69% arrived by air.
The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity is actively managing the return phase of the operation, particularly as departures intensify toward the end of August. At the Tanger Med rest area, teams are assisting travelers with formalities, ticket confirmations, and registration to ensure smooth passenger and vehicle flow through customs and police controls.
To support the operation, the Foundation has mobilized 1,134 social workers, 105 doctors, and 111 nurses. Since the launch, the Foundation has conducted 48,522 assistance interventions covering medical, social, legal, and administrative needs.
