Morocco to Host First Training for Multinational Stabilization Force in Gaza

Morocco has formally joined a U.S.-led multinational stabilization force intended for the Gaza Strip and will host the force’s inaugural training program in Rabat. The preparation is being coordinated with Israeli security agencies and the U.S. command based in Kiryat Gat, and includes physical‑fitness drills, weapons‑handling and tactical instruction.

Moroccan officials say up to 500 Moroccan soldiers will be contributed to the force, joining pledged contingents from Kosovo, Kazakhstan and Albania. Indonesia has not yet entered the mission. The force is planned to secure the new Rafah city project, which is to be built with backing from the United Arab Emirates and designated a “weapon‑free” zone. No final date has been set for the troops’ deployment, but sources expect the first operations to begin in the early months of next year as part of the peace plan announced by the Trump administration.
