Morocco to host International Date Forum and Maghreb Literature Book Fair
Morocco is hosting two significant regional events in late October 2026. In Errachidia, the 15th International Date Forum will take place from October 28 to November 1. Held under the theme ‘Date Palms and Innovation: Opportunities for Integrated Territorial Development,’ the forum aims to modernize the date palm sector and promote economic and social value in oasis areas. The event is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors and will bring together farmers, researchers, investors, and international partners to discuss agricultural innovation, food safety, and sustainable development.
Simultaneously, the sixth edition of the ‘Maghreb Literature’ Book Fair will be held in Oujda from October 27 to November 1. Organized by the Oriental Region Development Agency in partnership with various government bodies, the fair operates under the slogan ‘Let us Create a Shared World.’ The event features a diverse program including seminars, roundtables, and book signings, aimed at fostering cultural dialogue and supporting literary creativity. This year’s edition also includes discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence on publishing and literature.
