Morocco to host international tourism integrity forum
Morocco has been selected to host the second International Forum for Enhancing Integrity in the Tourism Sector. The decision was made during the third ministerial meeting of anti-corruption law enforcement agencies of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Mohamed Benaallilou, President of Morocco’s National Authority for Integrity, Prevention and Fight against Corruption, emphasized that the cross-border nature of corruption proceeds requires practical international cooperation and rapid information exchange. He highlighted Morocco’s commitment to governance and accountability as pillars for development.
On the sidelines of the OIC meeting, Morocco and Azerbaijan signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in preventing and combating corruption. The agreement, signed by Benaallilou and Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, aims to establish an institutional partnership between prevention and law enforcement. The cooperation will focus on capacity building, expert exchanges, specialized training, and the sharing of information regarding criminal methods and prevention measures.
