Morocco to host major cultural and music events in 2026

Morocco is hosting two significant cultural events in late 2026. The Wave initiative will hold a meeting in Tetouan on November 28, 2026, focused on artistic creation and cultural relations between Mediterranean shores. Part of the European MedBridge program, the event is open to Moroccan artists and residents aged 18 to 35. This initiative follows previous editions in Egypt and Tunisia and coincides with Tetouan sharing the title of Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue with Matera, Italy.

In Rabat, the 13th edition of the Visa For Music festival and professional market will take place from November 18 to 21, 2026. The event received over 900 applications from more than 90 countries, resulting in the selection of more than 35 artistic projects. The programming includes electronic music, jazz, urban music, instrumental creations, and revisited musical traditions. The festival serves as a professional hub for programmers, producers, and international delegations to foster cooperation within the music sectors of Africa and the Middle East.
