Morocco's FM6SS and ABA LIFE launch AI‑focused health tech joint venture

The Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health (FM6SS) and ABA LIFE, the health arm of ABA Technology, have signed a strategic partnership to create a joint venture dedicated to digital health and artificial intelligence in Morocco. The venture will operate around three pillars: (1) research and public‑health programs, including AI‑driven precision‑medicine projects and an African epidemiological observatory planned for 2026; (2) modernization of clinical practice through tele‑medicine and immersive training, targeting the education of more than 100,000 health professionals in AI over the next four years; and (3) development of a Moroccan HealthTech, MedTech and Biotech hub, supporting over 100 startups, fostering African tech champions and generating around 50 intellectual‑property assets.

The first AI‑enhanced health solutions are slated for deployment in Moroccan health facilities from October 2026, with a gradual rollout to other African nations thereafter. The partnership aims to boost the resilience and performance of the national health system and reinforce Morocco’s technological sovereignty in health research, tele‑medicine, biosurveillance and biomedical engineering.
