Morocco's Justice and Development Party vows to confront election manipulation

The Justice and Development Party (PJD) announced it will oppose any attempts to control Morocco’s political and electoral process ahead of the upcoming legislative elections. The party urged citizens to vote in large numbers, warning against narratives that undermine the value of voting.

The statement called for the release of detained protesters, including the union leader Mohamed Zian, and condemned the use of money to influence elections, demanding a neutral administration and an end to pre‑packaged election scenarios. It also criticized recent high‑level government appointments and policy measures, linking them to broader concerns such as rising unemployment, price pressures, and alleged irregularities in public procurement.

On the international front, the PJD reaffirmed Morocco’s support for the Palestinian cause, condemning Israeli settlement expansions and urging stronger diplomatic efforts.
