Morocco's Mawazine 2026 features global acts and K‑pop group ITZY in Rabat

The 21st edition of the Mawazine – Rythmes du Monde festival runs from June 19 to 27 in Rabat and Salé, drawing large crowds with a programme that mixes international, Arab and African music. Stages host a wide range of performers, from electronic and dance acts such as Major Lazer to soul singer Macy Gray, alongside African artists like Ghana’s Stonebwoy, Senegal’s Senny Camara and Cape Verde’s Zulu, and regional musicians representing Amazigh, Gnaoua and other Moroccan traditions.

A highlight of the weekend was the first Moroccan appearance of South‑Korean K‑pop girl group ITZY. The five members delivered a high‑energy show on the OLM Souissi esplanade, performing hits such as “Tunnel Vision”, “Walk” and “Not Shy”. Fans waved light‑sticks and sang along, while the group addressed the audience in Darija, underscoring the festival’s appeal to Morocco’s youth and its role in bringing global pop culture to the country.
