Morocco's men and women national football teams ready for upcoming Africa Cup contests

The Morocco men's national team, coached by Mohamed Wahbi, is arranging a high‑intensity friendly against Colombia in September during the international break. The match is designed to test the squad's physical readiness ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, with a second friendly still under consideration.

The Morocco women's national team, led by Jorge Filho Rodriguez, recorded a 5‑0 victory over Cape Verde at Casablanca's Abou Jikko Stadium. The win caps a series of warm‑up games, including a 4‑1 win over Benin and a goalless draw with New Zealand, and serves as final preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which Morocco will host from 26 July to 16 August. The side aims to start the tournament strongly and target their first continental title.
