Morocco's National Security announces new leadership appointments
The General Directorate for National Security has announced a series of new appointments to responsibility positions across various central and decentralized services in Morocco. Overseen by Director General Abdellatif Hammouchi, the reshuffle includes seven key positions aimed at enhancing security competencies and operational efficiency.
Key appointments include the head of the Regional Security Commission in Missour, the deputy head of the Regional Security Zone in Skhirat-Temara, and the head of the first traffic accident service in Safi. Additionally, several roles within the uniformed police services in Rabat were filled, including the deputy commander of the Mobile Security Group 99 and leaders for its second and ninth squads. In Tiflet, a security official was appointed to lead the urban body of the Regional Security Commission.
This internal movement is part of a strategic effort to renew leadership, promote rotation in management positions, and utilize young, experienced security personnel. The initiative seeks to improve the performance of police resources and support field management to ensure citizen security and the protection of property.
