DGSN announces new security appointments in 13 Moroccan cities

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has announced a series of new appointments across 20 responsibility positions in 13 Moroccan cities. Approved by Director General Abdellatif Hammouchi, the reshuffle affects regional services in cities including Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, Nador, and Laâyoune.

Key appointments include the heads of two security zones in Agadir and Tikiouine, a police commissioner in Assilah, and a deputy head of a security zone in Marrakech. In Nador, new officials have been appointed to lead the Regional Intervention Brigade and the Tourist Brigade, both of which were recently established to strengthen operational capabilities.

The DGSN stated that this movement is part of an internal strategy to modernize human resource management, promote qualified personnel, and ensure the rotation of leadership. The objective is to enhance the efficiency and readiness of police units to better protect citizens and their property.
