Environmental issues and river management reported across Spain

Various environmental and maintenance activities are being reported across different regions. In Segovia, Ecologistas en Acción has denounced the drying of over three kilometers of the Moros River due to the interruption of ecological flow from the Los Ángeles de San Rafael reservoir, leading to significant mortality of fish and crustaceans in a protected area.

In Valencia, municipal services have conducted extraordinary cleaning in the old Túria riverbed to remove accumulated metallic waste and large objects. Simultaneously, construction is underway for a new 1.3-kilometer pedestrian and cycle path that will include a 54-meter metal footbridge crossing the river.

Other regional reports include the cleaning of the Arroyo del Chorrito del Valle in Aljaraque to prevent flooding, and the 29th annual ecological descent of the Esva River to promote conservation. In Coín, the Asociación Valle Natural Río Grande has filed complaints against solar park construction, alleging violations of environmental impact declarations regarding soil movement and vegetation protection.
