Morrinhos couple sentenced to over 360 years for child abuse

A couple in Morrinhos, Goiás, has been sentenced to a combined total of over 360 years in prison for the sexual abuse of children and the storage of child pornography. The Court of Justice of Goiás (TJGO) handed down the sentences, with the man receiving 204 years, four months, and ten days, while the woman was sentenced to 159 years and 17 days.

Investigations revealed that the pair targeted at least ten children, aged between 3 and 7 years, between 2021 and 2025. The suspects utilized their own daughter to lure other children to their residence under the guise of playdates. Additionally, the woman offered babysitting services to neighbors to gain access to more victims.

The crimes were discovered after the couple's daughter found messages on her mother's phone regarding nudity. A subsequent search of the suspects' electronic devices uncovered approximately 230 gigabytes of child abuse material, including recordings of the crimes being committed.

In addition to the prison terms, the court revoked the couple's parental rights and ordered them to pay indemnities to the victims: R$ 30,000 for each victim of sexual abuse and R$ 10,000 for each child whose images were stored.
