Morris County launches app for Revolutionary War tours

Morris County has launched the free STQRY app, providing interactive, self-guided walking and driving tours to explore the region’s Revolutionary War history. The initiative is part of the county’s celebrations for America’s 250th Anniversary.

The app features interactive maps, historical photographs, and optional audio narration. It includes five regional driving tours covering the northeast, northwest, southeast A, southeast B, and southwest areas of the county. These routes highlight specific sites and events connected to the American Revolution.

The digital experience was developed by the Morris County Tourism Bureau, utilizing research from the Morris County Office of Planning & Preservation’s ‘Morris County in the American Revolution StoryMap’ to document and preserve the area's historical significance.
