Morrissey cancels Las Vegas residency at Wynn due to logistical challenges

Morrissey, the former frontman of The Smiths, has canceled his upcoming four-night residency at the Wynn Las Vegas' Encore Theater. The shows were scheduled to run from August 14 to August 19.

His team cited "unforeseen logistical challenges" as the reason for the cancellation. Ticket buyers were notified via email, and Ticketmaster indicated that refunds would be processed to the original method of payment within two to three weeks.

The cancellation adds to a pattern of recent performance disruptions for the singer. In 2026 alone, he has canceled or postponed multiple dates, including shows in California and Valencia, Spain. Previous reasons for cancellations have included sleep deprivation and adverse reactions to prescription medication.

Despite the Las Vegas cancellation, Morrissey's remaining tour dates appear to be on schedule. Upcoming performances include Chicago's Riot Fest on September 19, as well as scheduled appearances in New York, and a series of arena shows in the United Kingdom in December.
