Morrissey reveals personal rankings of favorite solo albums and songs

British musician Morrissey has released personal rankings of his top ten solo albums and twelve favorite songs via his official website, Morrissey Central. Under the heading “In My Life I Loved Them All,” the singer shared his curated selections from his solo career.

Unreleased album Bonfire of Teenagers, recorded in 2021, holds the top spot in his album rankings. The project remains unreleased due to a dispute with Capitol Records and has been subject to controversy regarding Miley Cyrus’s participation, with reports suggesting she requested to withdraw her backing vocals from the track “I Am Veronica.” Following this, his most recent work, Make-Up Is a Lie, is ranked second.

In the song category, titled “The Best of the Best,” the 2004 track “Irish Blood, English Heart” is ranked first. Other notable entries in his song selection include “First of the Gang to Die,” “It’s Over,” and a version of “Wedding Bell Blues” recorded with Green Day vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong.

In addition to these rankings, Morrissey is preparing for a series of UK concerts in December, scheduled to visit cities including Brighton, Cardiff, Liverpool, Glasgow, and Leeds, following his current North American tour.
