Morrovalle mourns educator and cultural leader Nazzarena Acquaroli

Nazzarena Acquaroli, a prominent educator and cultural figure in Morrovalle, has passed away. A graduate in Pedagogy and Cultural Heritage, she dedicated her career to local education, serving as a teacher, vice-principal of the Istituto Comprensivo di Morrovalle, and principal of the Lorenzo Lotto elementary school in Monte San Giusto.

Acquaroli served as the president of the local section of Archeoclub d’Italia for over thirty years, earning honorary membership in the national association last year. Her leadership was instrumental in transforming Palazzo Lazzarini into the community hub for the Civic Museum and Municipal Library.

Her efforts in heritage preservation included the restoration of the Fonte del Coppo, the valorization of the Picene necropolis in contrada Santa Lucia, and the Roman remains of the Fanum Apollonis. She also established long-standing initiatives such as the Archeojunior school competition and the Invito all’Opera program.
