Mors hosts record-breaking Oyster and Mussel Premiere

The Oyster and Mussel Premiere 2026 in Nykøbing Mors drew record crowds, celebrating the Limfjord region as a major gastronomic hub. The event featured various culinary competitions and showcases of local seafood.

Jesper Knudsen secured his 14th consecutive Danish championship title in oyster shucking. Additionally, world champion chef Bjarke Jeppesen participated, presenting Limfjord ingredients to the public.

The festivities included the ‘Årets Tjener Battle’ (Waiter of the Year Battle), where Marc Thejl Hansen from Schackenborg Slotskro won the senior category. The event also featured a sold-out gourmet dinner hosted by Rasmus Kardyb of Limfjordens Hus, who aimed to highlight the diverse culinary potential of local mussels and oysters beyond traditional preparations.
