Mors-Thy Håndbold players join Danish handball talent squad

Mors-Thy Håndbold players have been recognized through new talent development initiatives by DanskHåndbold. Gustav Sunesen and Simon Skovhus are among the eight players selected for a new development squad designed to prepare young talents for the Danish men’s national team. This strategic shift aims to begin long-term development earlier due to a lowering average age in the national squad. Selected players will receive specialized support in areas such as physical and mental training, nutrition, biomechanics, and coaching.

On the competitive front, Mors-Thy Håndbold is preparing for a challenging away match against Skjern in the Herreligaen. Following a 34-31 victory over KIF Kolding, the club faces a demanding September schedule involving seven matches and participation in three simultaneous tournaments, including the European League. Coach Kasper Didriksen noted the increased pressure of this historic season as the club manages new coaching staff and players.
