Morsko Konche international youth chess tournament concludes in Varna

The 51st edition of the 'Morsko Konche' international youth chess tournament concluded at the Sport Palace complex in Varna, Bulgaria. Organized by the Georgi Daskalov Chess Club, the seven-day event featured 92 participants from four countries: Bulgaria, Germany, Moldova, and Ukraine.

In the girls' category for ages 12-14, Spasimira Ruseva from Chess Club Dunav Ruse 1931 secured first place and the championship cup. Other notable winners included Kalina Tsvetkova from CSKA in the girls' 12-16 age group and Kaloyan Hristev from Kaissa Chess Club in the boys' 14-16 group.

In the younger divisions, winners included Elizaveta Ungurean from Moldova in the girls' 8-10 category and Danail Stoyanov from Odesos Chess Club in the boys' 8 category. The tournament, which follows the Swiss system, was overseen by international master Svetla Yordanova and awarded trophies, medals, and certificates to the winners.
