Mortal Shell II exceeds 1 million beta downloads

Mortal Shell II has surpassed 1 million downloads during its open beta period. The game is scheduled for official release on August 20, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players who participated in the beta will receive exclusive benefits in the full version, including the ability to skip the prologue and a special visual for the Herald.

Developers have noted that the sequel offers increased longevity compared to the first installment. The main campaign is expected to last between 30 and 40 hours, while completionists tackling side content and optional bosses can expect up to 60 hours of gameplay.

The release will include a New Game Plus option and a specialized ‘Night Mode,’ which increases difficulty and offers exclusive rewards. Early access begins on August 17 for those who pre-order the game. The standard edition is priced at 49.99 euros, while a 59.99 euro edition provides extra content and the three-day early access period.
