Mortal Shell 2 promises significantly longer gameplay than predecessor

Developers have revealed that Mortal Shell 2 will offer a significantly longer experience compared to its predecessor. While the original 2020 title featured an average playtime of approximately 13 hours, the sequel is expected to take between 30 and 40 hours for a standard playthrough involving the main story, key side areas, and character progression.

For completionists seeking to explore all dungeons, optional areas, and various weapons, the playtime could exceed 60 hours. The developers noted that the open world is designed to minimize unnecessary backtracking. Additional replayability features include New Game+ and a high-difficulty Night Mode that offers better rewards. An open beta is available on Steam prior to the release.
