Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack have confirmed that the action‑RPG soulslike Mortal Shell II will be released worldwide on 20 August 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The standard edition is priced at roughly €49.99/$49.99/£39.99, while a premium Devout Edition costs about €59.99/$59.99/£47.99 and provides 72 hours of early access plus exclusive skins. A physical Revered Edition for PS5 includes a steelbook, artbook and collectible prints.

The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer set to Paradise Lost’s “Darker Thoughts”. An open beta attracted more than 500 000 players and the game’s promotional material highlights eight playable “Shells”, over 60 dungeons and a compact but interconnected open world. Mortal Shell II arrives amid a crowded August schedule of high‑profile releases, positioning it as a notable addition to the genre.
