Mortal Shell II and How to Fish achieve strong gaming sales

Mortal Shell II has emerged as a significant performer in recent gaming sales charts. In the United Kingdom, the soulslike title published by Playstack secured the fourth position in the weekly top ten for the period ending August 22, 2026. It stood out as the only new title in the UK top ten, which was otherwise dominated by established franchises such as EA Sports FC 26 and various Nintendo properties.

On the Steam platform, the independent developer Dazed Games achieved a breakout success with the release of How to Fish. The title reached the number one spot on the Steam best-selling charts for the week of August 18 to August 25. Despite its lower price point of $7.99, the game earned an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating with over 12,000 user reviews within its first eight days. Mortal Shell II also appeared in the Steam top five during this period, ranking third behind How to Fish and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
