Mortal Shell II Open Beta Launches on Steam

Cold Symmetry has released a free open‑beta version of its Souls‑like action RPG *Mortal Shell II* on Steam as part of the Summer Game Fest. The demo, roughly 50 GB in size, is available for a limited time and lets players explore the game’s dark fantasy setting and test its combat system.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the beta showcases high‑resolution textures, ray‑traced lighting and detailed character models. In testing, the game runs smoothly on a 1440p Linux PC, maintaining over 120 FPS with max graphics settings, indicating strong performance optimisation.
