Mortal Shell II slated for August 20, 2026 release on PC, PS5 and Xbox

Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack announced the sequel Mortal Shell II, confirming a worldwide launch on 20 August 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.

The sequel expands the original’s soulslike formula with a compact open world, more than 60 dungeons, a redesigned combat system that removes stamina indicators and introduces a new execution‑based flow. Players will again control the bodies of fallen warriors, each offering unique abilities and hidden memories, strengthening environmental storytelling.

Pre‑orders opened alongside the announcement, with a standard digital edition and a premium “Devout” edition that grants a 72‑hour early access window. The timing places the title in a relatively quiet summer window, avoiding the crowded autumn blockbuster season.
