Morten Harket to release new solo album amid Parkinson's battle
Morten Harket, the frontman of the Norwegian pop group a-ha, is releasing a new solo album titled ‘Human Grace’ in late November. The 67-year-old singer has been living with Parkinson's disease, a diagnosis he shared publicly after previously keeping it within his inner circle.
The illness has significantly impacted his ability to control his voice, leading him to collaborate with his daughters on certain tracks. Karmen Poppi A. Harket performs on the song ‘Falling Down’, while musician Tomine Harket provides vocals for the ballad ‘Hold Me’.
The album consists of a mix of demos and studio recordings produced since his 2014 solo release, ‘Brother’. Harket described the project as a way to do something meaningful, noting that the songs celebrate life and love from various perspectives.
