Morten Hjulmand linked with AC Milan transfer

Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand, 26, of Sporting Lisbon is being pursued by AC Milan, where former Sporting coach Rubén Amorim now leads the club. Reports suggest Milan are prepared to meet a price of €40‑50 million for the player, who previously impressed under Amorim at Sporting and has experience in Serie A from his spell at Lecce.

Hjulmand’s contract runs until 2028 with a release clause of €80 million, but Sporting are reportedly open to a summer move for a lower fee. Real Madrid have also been mentioned as interested, with a potential valuation of €50 million. The transfer window could see both Hjulmand and fellow Sporting winger Francisco Trincão targeted by Milan.

If completed, the deal would mark one of Amorim’s first signings at Milan, aiming to bring familiar players into his new project in Italy.
