Morten Linderud Resigns from Arch Linux Development Team
Morten Linderud announced his resignation from the Arch Linux project, ending nearly a decade of contributions to the distribution’s security team and package maintenance. In his farewell note he listed the packages he currently maintains, such as mkinitcpio, arch‑install‑scripts and wpa_supplicant, and highlighted those lacking co‑maintainers that need new volunteers.
Linderud said he will shift his focus to hardware‑level security work, including Trusted Platform Modules, secure boot and other platform‑security tools. He will remain active in the tech industry but will no longer be involved in daily Arch Linux development.
