Morumbi stadium ramp collapse disrupts Harry Styles concert in São Paulo

On July 24, 2026, a section of the ramp floor leading to Gate 6 at São Paulo FC's Morumbi Stadium collapsed during Harry Styles' concert, causing panic, a temporary partial closure of the entrance, and the tipping of a police truck. No serious injuries were reported. The club issued a statement attributing the failure to public works on the Antonico creek carried out by contractor DP Barros and pledged to improve safety measures.

Following the series of shows, the club began work to restore the playing surface. Soil de‑compaction and drainage improvements are underway, and new turf rolled from a farm in Tremembé will be installed early next week. The first home match after the renovations is scheduled for August 15 against Coritiba, after a previous fixture was postponed.
