Morungaba launches mobile vaccination unit to expand immunization access

The City of Morungaba has launched ‘Vacimóvel’, a mobile unit designed to expand immunization access across various neighborhoods, rural communities, and socially vulnerable areas. The R$ 90,000 investment, supported by legislative amendments, provides a vehicle equipped with air conditioning to ensure the safe transport and storage of biological products.

A multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and nursing technicians will operate the unit. The service will offer all vaccines included in the National Immunization Program (PNI), providing updates to vaccination records for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Initial efforts will focus on the Health in Schools Program (PSE) and specific epidemiological needs, such as vaccine blockade actions.
