Mãos da Terra project expands rural training in Amazonas

The Mãos da Terra project, led by the Instituto Amazônia Equatorial with support from the Amazonas State Secretariat of Rural Production (Sepror), has opened registrations for its second phase of technical training for family farmers. The program aims to strengthen sustainable development, food security, and income generation for rural communities in the metropolitan region of Manaus.

Following initial implementation in Iranduba and Rio Preto da Eva, the expansion will cover Manaus, Autazes, Careiro da Várzea, Itapiranga, Presidente Figueiredo, Manaquiri, Itacoatiara, and Careiro Castanho. Registrations are open until September 30 through the Instituto Amazônia Equatorial website. The initiative focuses on technical skills such as soil management, organic production, and commercialization.
