Mos launches Hockey Club Mos to promote youth roller hockey
The municipality of Mos is expanding its local sports offerings through the launch of Hockey Club Mos, a new organization dedicated to promoting roller hockey among children, starting from age four.
Mayor Nidia Arévalo recently met with the club's leadership, including Jaime Pérez de Lis and Juan Vidal, to discuss the sports project. The initiative, driven by a board of parents, focuses on grassroots development and teaching values such as teamwork, equality, and inclusion. The club utilizes a progressive methodology centered on play, initially prioritizing balance and coordination before moving to technical skills.
Following successful open house sessions at the Patricia Martínez pavilion, the first training group has already reached capacity. Due to high demand, organizers are considering the creation of a second group to accommodate more participants. The project aims to foster a mixed-gender practice environment and intends to collaborate with local schools and parent associations.
