Moschino debuts new creative direction under Messina and Rizzo

Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo made their debut as co-creative directors of Moschino during Milan Fashion Week, presenting the Spring/Summer 2027 menswear collection. The duo, formerly of the brand Sunnei, aimed to move away from simply replicating the archive of founder Franco Moschino, focusing instead on his underlying philosophy to create a “Moschino of the future.”

The collection emphasized experimental layering and a sense of “real life” dressing. The runway presentation, held at the Unipol Dome, featured a concept where models walked through a crowd of people mimicking everyday city life. The designs utilized vibrant colors, unexpected proportions, and casual elements like T-shirts, tanks, and oversized bags, often combined in unconventional ways to create a new aesthetic for the house.
