Mosciano Sant'Angelo Church of the Holy Rosary Restoration Approved

The permanent conference of the Abruzzo reconstruction authority has authorized a structural repair and reinforcement project for the Church of the Holy Rosary in Mosciano Sant'Angelo. The work, costing €470,000, will address severe damage to the load‑bearing walls, the drum of the monolithic concrete dome, and the façade, using high‑strength steel‑reinforced fabrics, anchoring, and tensioning of the sacristy.

The circular brick building, noted for its hemispherical dome and distinctive sail‑shaped bell tower, will also have its apse vault consolidated and its external brick‑stone joints treated with structural mortar. Local officials thanked regional president Marco Marsilio, Bishop Lorenzo Leuzzi, the Abruzzo reconstruction office, mayor Giuliano Galiffi, and commissioner Guido Castelli for their collaboration in preserving this historic monument.
