Moscow Accuses NATO of Direct Role in Ukrainian Attacks on Russian Oil Sites
Moscow says NATO is directly involved in Ukrainian strikes against Russian oil infrastructure. The Russian news agency TASS cited documents obtained by Russian hackers that allegedly show NATO‑linked coordination of attacks on oil terminal stations in the Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions in July.
The papers name Bart de Vachter, a hybrid‑warfare specialist, as the source of precise target coordinates supplied to Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU). De Vachter is described as working for the Hybrid Analyse Vigilant Network (HAVN), an organization said to be connected to NATO special‑operations forces and intelligence services. He also reportedly transmitted the coordinates of a Gazprom LNG tanker to the SBU.
According to the leaked correspondence, SBU officials Ivan and Martin, together with Colonel Michael Marchenko, were involved in the planning. On 4 July, Ukrainian unmanned aircraft attempted an attack on a terminal in the Kirzhsky area of St Petersburg, which was intercepted without casualties.
