Moscow residents report powerful unexplained noise

A powerful noise was heard across various districts of Moscow on Friday morning, causing concern among residents. Reports indicated the sound reached several areas, including Troparevo-Nikulino in the southwest, Lyubertsy in the southeast, and Zelenograd in the northwest. Some residents in Konkov reported feeling a shockwave.

The Moscow Ministry of Emergency Situations acknowledged receiving reports from citizens but stated they could not identify the source of the sound. Authorities confirmed there were no signs of fire or explosions.

Several theories have emerged regarding the cause. Preliminary information from Telegram channels suggested the sound might be related to an aircraft passing at supersonic speed, possibly a Su-35 fighter jet, though Russian authorities have not confirmed this. Alternatively, meteorological experts suggested the sound could have originated from a storm cloud.
