Moïse Moni Della criticizes C64 resolutions on elections
Moïse Moni Della has criticized the recent resolutions issued by the C64 following a two-day meeting in Rome. He described the group's proposals regarding the organization of elections within constitutional deadlines as unrealistic and simplistic.
Della argued that holding democratic and inclusive elections is impossible under current conditions without the participation of North and South Kivu. He warned that proceeding without these regions could lead to the fragmentation of the country.
While welcoming the C64's expressed willingness to participate in an inclusive dialogue, Della asserted that the current administration, led by Félix Tshisekedi, maintains the legal right to convene and organize the framework for such a dialogue before handing it over to facilitators. He emphasized that national unity, peace, and cohesion must remain the primary priorities for both the government and the opposition.
