Mosel Musikfestival launches participatory programming project

The Mosel Musikfestival has launched the ‘Festival Atelier’ project, an initiative inviting citizens from the German and Luxembourgish regions to participate in programming for the 2027 season. Supported by LEADER regions, the project aims to create a participatory process where residents can share stories and experiences that define their regional identity.

Co-intendants Klaus Gasteiger and Dr. David Maier stated that the goal is to foster collaboration at eye level. Participants do not need musical training; the focus is on musical passion and creative exchange. The project will involve selecting artists and developing concert evenings based on the community's input to highlight the cross-border connections of the Mosel region.
