Moses Wright joins North Macedonia national basketball team

American center Moses Wright has obtained citizenship to play for the North Macedonia national basketball team. The 27-year-old, who recently played for Zalgiris in the EuroLeague, will bolster the squad ahead of the EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers.

Wright is scheduled to debut during the upcoming FIBA window, starting with a match against Austria in Vienna on August 30. Due to these international obligations, his new club, Armani Olimpia Milan, announced he will be absent from the start of their training camp.

Previously a player for the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers, Wright has established a strong European presence. His addition is expected to significantly improve North Macedonia's performance in the paint as they compete in Group F alongside Austria and Cyprus.
