Moshe Redman criticizes security protection for Netanyahu family

Israeli politician Moshe Redman, a prominent figure in previous protests against judicial reforms, has launched a sharp verbal attack against Sara Netanyahu and her son, Yair Netanyahu. Redman, who was recently elected to the Knesset on the Democratic Party list, criticized the continued security detail for Sara Netanyahu, referencing her 2019 conviction involving a plea deal related to the misuse of resources. He also targeted Yair Netanyahu with derogatory remarks, accusing him of being unproductive and spreading negativity.

The controversy follows reports that the Shin Bet refused to provide personal security to former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, despite potential threats to his safety. Redman highlighted this discrepancy, questioning why a former military leader and potential prime ministerial candidate lacks protection while members of the Netanyahu family continue to receive it. Redman suggested that the current administration is focused on image management rather than addressing these security standard inconsistencies.
